Main entrance: guests are not expected to park their own cars. A plaque in the lobby acknowledges the visit of Prince Charles on the occasion of the hotel's 90th anniversary in 2014. The nearby railway line and station was originally created to facilitate the arrival of distinguished guests from the South, long before the private car became the favoured mode of transport.
