The B996 through Glenfarg
At one time this road must have been very busy, but the opening of the M90 (in a cutting to the left of this photo) means that it now carries just local traffic.
The development on the right is, I think, for a set of retirement apartments.

Glenfarg Hotel
The hotel is an imposing site in this small rural village. At one time a railway brought many visitors to the area, but the line closed in 1970, and parts of the trackbed have since been built-over by the M90 motorway, which by-passes Glenfarg.

Sad sight in Glenfarg
The Lomond Hotel (formerly The Peacock Inn) faces Main Street, Glenfarg. Once one of two hotels in the village, the building now stands derelict and at risk of imminent collapse.

Former tollhouse
Surveyed by the Milestone Society. On the B996, Main Street in Glenfarg, Old Toll Cottage. Made of dressed stone it is probable that the original building was only the section between the two chimneys with the right hand end added at a later date.
