Built 1832 to a design by Adam Anderson. Now a gallery. Did house a steam engine but this was scrapped. Note the chimney with "urn" on top.

Disproportionate
A grand for parking over the line. What next? Custodial sentences for being late back at the motor. I suppose we will see more of this as council budgets are stretched. Sign at South Inch car park, Perth.

Fergusson Gallery
The white domed building was originally part of Perth Water Works, built in 1832, and reputedly the first large-scale cast-iron building in the world. The column alongside was originally the chimney of the Water Works engine house. J D Fergusson (1874 - 1961) was a prominent Scottish artist, married to dancer Margaret Morris, and both are commemorated in the Gallery. This view of the Gallery is from across the River Tay and was taken on Moncreiffe Island.

The old waterworks
This building was the Perth waterworks. It is now an art gallery. It reminds me of a mosque.
