The largest expanse of reeds in Britain, at 400 ha, although originally established by man, beginning with planting by monks in the 1500s.

Newly seeded field
South of Errol village, looking towards Daleally Farm. Scottish pioneer aviator Preston Watson is claimed by some to have made the world's first powered flight from a Daleally Farm field about six months before the Wright Brothers managed the same feat in America. Sadly, conclusive proof is lacking.
