Nissen hut at the west end of Rait
Rait is a small village in the Braes of Gowrie on the southern edge of the Sidlaw hills. The village and the neighbouring Inchture, are twinned with Fleac in France.

Thatched Cottages
This row of traditional cottages retains its thatched roofs. There's a plentiful supply of reeds on the Tay estuary so no problems about getting supplies for thatching. My thanks to the lady who invited me to go on to her lawn so that I could get the whole row in one view. Image] is the same cottages 35 years earlier.
