Route 77 - going up.
The Carse of Gowrie is like a sleeve. At the western end the flat land is squashed between Kinnoull Hill and Tay, the narrow band of remaining plain being occupied by the A90, the situation complicated by a pair of notorious access rows. Sustrans have therefore taken the scenic route.
Their waymarked route goes over Kinnoull Hill, a fair pech but worth every lung bursting turn of the granny gear. I stopped here to obtain a traditional road junction shot - i.e. was needing to pay back some of the oxygen debt.
