Bridge over Allt na Breac
Allt na Breac is a tributary of the River Spey and flows from right to left in this image. The bridge is on the road between Auchnahannet and Auchnagallin.

Auchnahannet Old Mill and pond
In the foreground are the fields and woodland below Knock of Auchnahannet, the mill pond, and Auchnahannet Old Mill, originally a water powered threshing mill. In the mid-ground early morning mist fills the glen down which Allt na Breac flows to join the Spey, with Strathspey also filled with mist beyond. In the background are the Cairngorm mountains on the right and the Cromdale Hills on the left.

Fields and new hedge below Ballinlagg Wood
Just beyond the three foreground trees are the road through the glen and Allt na Breac. The Cairngorms are in the distance to the right. The hedge had been planted recently.

The eel, about 2 feet (60cm.) long was found near Auchnahannet in a small tributary of Allt na Breach.
