The Strathspey Hotel, Grantown-on-Spey
This view shows the 1950s(?) extension which added rooms and a lounge bar to the original 19th century hotel building. This picture is now historic. Since it was taken in May 2008 the extension has been demolished, and something new - possibly housing or apartments - is to be built there.

Shopper's car park, Grantown-on-Spey
Precious parking in times of heavy snow. From here I was able to get to the very skiable Anagach forest, after being prevented by traffic and lack of cleared parking from visiting a few other places. The car park is very near the shops.

Strathspey Hotel Grantown on Spey
Located at the junction of the A939 and B9102 in the centre
of Grantown on Spey is the Strathspey Hotel.
The main part of the hotel accommodation was originally built as a house in 1806 by John Grant, a carpenter, 41 years after the founding of the town.
Today the Strathspey Hotel has been completely refurbished throughout to provide the high quality of accommodation facilities and service which guests are entitled to expect.
