Old road sign in Grantown
The sign for Tomintoul belongs to an earlier time, known as 'pre-Worboys' to road buffs. Sir Walter Worboys chaired a committee tasked with reviewing Britain's road signs, bringing them up to date and standardising on their design.

Strathspey Hotel Grantown on Spey
Located at the junction of the A939 and B9102 in the centre of Grantown on Spey is the Strathspey Hotel. The main part of the hotel accommodation was originally built as a house in 1806 by John Grant, a carpenter, 41 years after the founding of the town. Today the Strathspey Hotel has been completely refurbished throughout to provide the high quality of accommodation facilities and service which guests are entitled to expect.
