Allt M?r flowing through woodland
Looking along this small stream, as it flows towards Nethy Bridge. Here it passes through mixed woodland, with much of the ground covered by snow.

Female salmon part eaten by otter
The salmon was on the south bank of the Allt Mor burn. The Allt Mor is part of the River Spey Special Area of Conservation (a European Site), designated for its salmon, otter, freshwater pearl mussel and lamprey. Salmon spawn in the burn in late autumn - notice eggs on ground above tail.

Large field of improved grassland
The large field of improved grassland is bounded on the north east by scattered Scots pine, birch and juniper. The field has been ploughed, fertilised and sown with bright green agricultural grasses that contrast markedly with the more natural vegetation on infertile soils in most of this grid square.
