Great Diving Beetle (Dytiscus marginalis), Aviemore
Normally found in ponds, on warm, still nights adults will take flight and try and find new habitat; this individual was probably fooled by a paddling pool in the garden.

Pedestrian underpass under the A9 at Aviemore
The rather low tunnel (only about 1.6 m high) has been recently constructed to allow pedestrian access from the new developments west of the A9 to the Aviemore Orbital Path.
