Perth 800 parade
Marking the 800th anniversary of Perth's charter and also Armed Forces Day a parade wound its way through the city centre and up Tay Street, where Prince Edward took the salute from a dais under the canopy. More than 1000 members of the armed forces, past and present, were joined on parade by four pipe bands, two military bands, WW2 military vehicles and representatives from local youth organisations.

The Capital Asset, Perth
Now a Wetherspoon's pub, this building was erected in 1876 to house the Perth Savings Bank. Drinkers sitting behind this fine window have a splendid view across the River Tay.
