Siskin
Male siskin (Carduelis spinus) on the roadside outside the timeshare complex on Loch Rannoch.
A bird table favourite, they spend the summers in pine forests. There is plenty of suitable habitat here.

Loch Rannoch
This north-westerly facing photograph of the loch was taken from a viewpoint on the B846 just to the west of Kinloch Rannoch, which is some 400m behind the viewpoint.
At this point the road from Kinloch Rannoch, which has headed in a straight line from the village, turns sharply by the loch shore to take a route that passes the Loch Rannoch hotel (in the centre of the photograph) and along the northern fringes of the loch.
