Atholl Palace Hotel Pitlochry from the A9
Category B Listed Hydropathic Hotel by Andrew Heiton Junior. Building commenced supervised by Mr Dick in February 1876. Building was halted in 1883 following Mr Dick's bankruptcy. Mr William McDonald bought the site and by 1886 the Atholl had opened. Francis Norrie-Miller purchased the hotel in 1911 only to sell it in 1913 to the Atholl Palace Hotel Ltd Co. In 1915 the building housed the pupils of Queen Margaret Girls' School and then in 1940 became the war-time residence of the Leys School, Cambridge.
