The Locus Centre, Aberfeldy
Formerly a church, located just off The Square, Aberfeldy.
Quote from the Locus Breadalbane website -
"Locus Breadalbane is a community company with charitable status, incorporated in 1988. The main objects for which the company was established and which are still relevant today are; advance education of the public generally by research, preparation and organisation for and promotion and implementation of exhibitions, lectures, seminars, conferences and other meetings etc., provide, maintain and administer facilities for the advancement of education, for conservation and preservation of the environment and for physical and mental training.
The Locus Centre contains Perthshire Tourist Information Centre, Rolling River Publications and a range of facilities for use, as appropriate, by individuals, community and non profit making organisations and commercial businesses.
On the ground floor Locus provides an Auditorium and a sound recording studio which are available to hire out, and on the first floor there are “office” facilities for community group use. Current users are Highland Perthshire Communities Partnership, Highland Perthshire Youth Initiative and 1st floor office space to let.
The Auditorium, which can seat up to 55 people, is ideal for, presentations using the range of audio-visual equipment available, film shows for entertainment or educational purposes, theatrical / musical “concert” performances, business meetings including video-conference links, community group meetings, public consultations and for exhibitions.
The sound recording & broadcast facility can be used for training purposes or for live broadcast".
