Beavers about!
A tree on the bank of the River Almond, showing characteristic gnawing marks of beavers. Eurasian beavers have been present in the River Tay and Earn catchments since 2006, originating either as escapes or illegal releases from private collections. There are now believed to be at least 400 individuals living wild.

Remains of a bridge
The bridge that once crossed the River Almond here is still shown on the 1:25,000 Ordnance Survey map. It probably had an industrial use, now the site on the Huntingtower side of the river has a new housing estate.
