Old Parish Kirk Of St Moloc's
This site is probably where the first Christian church in Alyth was built by a contemporary of the Irish missionary Columba, Moluag, an important figure in the early Celtic Church who evangelised the Picts during the 6th century.

Alyth parish church
The parish website http://www.alythparishchurch.org.uk/html/history.html tells us that the church "was completed in 1839 to the grand design of an Edinburgh architect, Thomas Hamilton. It is Gothic in style, with Romanesque influences, especially in the windows, and has an unusually high spire."

The Auld Arches, Alyth
The arches are the remains of a 13th century church, which was disused from 1839 and taken down in 1846. There was a church nearby from the 6th century. There is a church yard around the arches.

Alyth mercat cross
The old cross that used to stand in the roadway at the junction of the High Street and Mill Street marked the site of a wool market. The plaque states that it was erected in 1670 by James, earl of Airlie.
