Houses on Gresley Drive, Stamford
Oddly this funny little road lined with new houses and loaded with road humps is the sole entry point to Stamford Station. I can only imagine the planning process involved.

Stamford livestock market
This is one of the numerous livestock markets around the country that have closed in market towns and unfortunately the hustle and bustle and intense social interaction that took place on these sites along with many of the characters have gone forever

The cattle pens have not seen action for 3 or 4 years now. The site remains derelict whilst various redevelopment plans are submitted.

Stamford cattle market (disused)
Not much has changed since previous submissions to geograph, the weeds are bigger but surprisingly the buildings remain intact apart from a covering of graffiti.

A glimpse beyond
This housing estate used to be the Stamford Goods yard, but now it overshadows you as you walk away from the station, looming houses crowding toward you. Till you turn the last corner and catch a glimpse of the older Georgian town across the meadows.
