Cosmetic tar spraying
A top-dressing is being applied along the pavements here, trapping residents in their homes for about an hour. The staff were diligently knocking on every door before blocking people in, and helping them park on the road instead.

Covid shelter at the pub
During the 2020 pandemic unlocking the Danish Invader created an outdoor shelter called The Social Distance Inn (Image). In the spring of 2021 the idea of outdoor-only re-opening returned, and this circus-style enclosure replaced the earlier one.

The Social Distance Inn
The Danish Invader is making a comedy of a necessity, and has re-opened with strict adherence to the rules - people have to register their identity on entry, and maintain strict distances.
While closed the pub was delivering hot food around the estate, notably on Sundays, and it was reportedly an excellent feed at reasonable prices

The pub is closed
Still dressed overall for the VE Day 75 celebrations, something the landlord did despite his business being closed by the Covid-19 shutdown. This is the Danish Invader, a pub built in the late 1960s.
