Road Closed - B1040, Whittlesey
People had been ignoring the signs, so a substantial barrier has been put across the road. It is flooded up to the ‘Dog in a Doublet’ pub and a similar barrier is at that end as well.

Slow down! You're going too fast!!
This old willow tree has a full time job waving his arms in vain. One hundred years ago, this was a local man, George (Willow) Scuttlebump who first began traffic calming when the speed limit was 15 mph. He swore he would never leave his post until vehicles kept to the limit. Alas, he took root in 1976.
