392 Bomb Group Memorial
Plaque on the memorial to the 392nd Bomb Group 8th Air Force US Army Air Forces Station 118 Wendling.
The 392nd Bomb Group flew B-24 Liberators out of Wendling, Norfolk from August 1943 until April 1945. They were the first Group allocated B-24H Liberators, the first B-24 series fitted with a nose turret.

Memorial to the 747 men who were killed on active service while serving at the 392nd Bomb Group 8th Air Force US Army Air Forces Station 118 Wendling, in the village of Beeston, where the aerodrome's domestic and administrative sites were located.
