This old style petrol filling station, with interesting old pumps and signs, stands in Somersham along the B.1040 road to Warboys.

Esso and Cleveland pumps
These vintage petrol pumps at West End Garage still display pre-decimal prices. 4/11½d per gallon is equivalent to just under 5.5p per litre; unfortunately, though the garage claimed to be open when I called, there was nobody around to serve fuel!

Carved stone post by the B1086, in parish of SOMERSHAM (HUNTINGDONSHIRE District), St Ives Road, by The Hollow, on grass verge, on South side of road. St Ives stone, erected by the Somersham turnpike trust in the 19th century.
Inscription reads:-
