House on The Green, Houghton
This partly timber framed house occupies a prominent position on The Green in Houghton. Although much extended in later periods, at the core of it is a hall house dating from the 15th century. It was formerly an inn. Judging by the external props there appear to be concerns about the integrity of the chimney stack facing The Green.

Houghton: a big brick chimney stack
