The trencher, as seen from the rear. As the trencher removes the soil the drainage pipe is fed into the trench. Gravel which is loaded into the rear hopper is then fed into the trench to cover the pipe. The trench is then back-filled.

The trencher viewed from the front. The machine, weighs in at just over 19.5 tonnes, and is powered by a 360 horsepower Cummings engine on oscillating tracks with a pivoting digger unit.
