Terraced houses by the River Witham, Boston
The houses contrast sharply with the newer buildings in the distance. The nearest two boats fill with water as the tide comes in and then slowly drain as it goes out.

Boat on the River Witham, Boston
The boat has a sizeable hole in the hull and fills with water at the turn of the tide or empties. When the water has drained from the level of the hole, it drains slowly through cracks in the hull. Note the traffic cone. I was unable to spot a shopping trolley.

The Haven, Boston
10-metre mussel boat. To the rear is one of the platforms involved in work on The Haven - The Environment Agency were at work replacing defective pilings. There were two self-levelling platforms involved, one to dig out detritus from the river bed, defective pilings and loose bank-side material, and the other to replace the pilings. Smaller craft oversaw the work, or moved pontoons, which carried fuel bowsers and skips, etc.
