The nave dates from the late 13th century and the Perpendicular west tower was added two centuries later. The single aisle, on the north side, was demolished in the 16th century and its arcade, now infilled with the original three windows, can here be seen on the right with the remains of its octagonal piers. The tower arch is of two chamfered orders and includes a 17th-century ringing gallery. There are four bells, all dated 1624 and probably cast by William Haulsey. The Image, replaced in 1910, are now displayed under the tower. This instrument with its charming Victorian oaken casework was built around 1855 by George Maydwell Holdich and was moved to Graveley from the neighbouring village of Papworth St Agnes in Image in the mid-1970s. There are nine stops on the single manual and a pedal bourdon with 17 keys. The 17 pipes in the front of the case (arranged in a haiku sequence 5-7-5) are gilded wooden dummies and do not speak. Canon Nicholas Thistlethwaite in "The Organs of Cambridge" (1983) wrote: "The style of the whole is a charming anachronism when one considers the development of the previous two decades - case with three flats in a naïve Gothic, black-headed stop knobs with square shanks, and paper labels above."

The original clappers from the 1624 ring of four bells in St Botolph's Church were replaced in 1910 and are now displayed in the vestibule under the tower. "Our work is done; At rest we lie. So may ye say When death is nigh."

The aisle was demolished in the 16th century and the three original windows reset in the new wall infilling the arches. There never was an aisle on the south side.
