The Turnpike - Public Houses, Inns and Taverns of Wisbech
This building was once The Turnpike on Norwich Road, Walsoken, Wisbech. The photographer has drunk in this pub. It closed around 1990 and was converted into apartments.

The Bell - Walsoken (Site of) - Public Houses, Inns and Taverns of Wisbech
This is the site of a former pub, The Bell which stood between Kirkgate Street and Lerowe Road in Walsoken, Wisbech. The photographer has drunk in this pub before it closed. It was built on agricultural land in 1967 (after the publication of AA Oldham's book) and was demolished around 2010? When first built it replaced a nearby pub also called The Bell which was first recorded in 1794, possibly the one shown on this map http://maps.nls.uk/geo/explore/#zoom=17&lat=52.6722&lon=0.1793&layers=6
