Station Street
After the rail bridge the traveller has a choice of route. This is Station Street that is the western end of the A152. It has had many names during its use and can be attributed to being 'Salter's Way' in Roman times.

The Old Peacock
Former Inn now a private dwelling, it stands to the Southeast of the Market Place, Donington. During the horse fairs in the early 20th century, legend has it, that there was only room to stand sideways with your arm stretched toward the bar it got so crowded.
