A garage forecourt with traditional kiosk. This may have been home to Bettinson's agricultural machinery manufacturers of seed drills and cage wheels amongst other things. Clarification required.

Completed in the late C19 to the designs of George Gilbert Scott. He died before the church was finished and building carried on under the supervision of his son John Oldrid Scott

St Paul, Spalding
On Holbeach Road. By George Gilbert Scott, 1877-80, in the Early English Gothic style. Muscular and uncompromising, in part due to the "hot" red brick and Ancaster stone dressings. Pevsner wrote that it is, "archetypally Victorian: assertive and mechanical in its execution, yet impressive in its composition and richness of detail." Grade II listed.
