Worth Court
Sheltered housing run by SKDC, Worth Court is named for Charles Worth, who came from Bourne but is known for his work in Paris where he more or less created Haut Couture. Some of his dresses are famous, such as the Peacock dress:

Eastgate House at Bourne, Lincolnshire
The Regency mansion overlooking the river in Eastgate was the lifetime home of Raymond Mays (1899-1980), international racing car driver and designer whose BRM won the World Championship in 1962. The house was built in the late 18th century and acquired in 1856 by the Mays family who founded a successful business in the town as fellmongers and fertiliser manufacturers.

Commemorative plaque to Raymond Mays at Bourne, Lincolnshire
A cast iron plaque commemorating the life of the international racing driver and BRM designer Raymond Mays (1899-1980) erected on the wall outside the house in Eastgate where he was born was vandalised with spray paint in 2007 but removed and restored by members of the Civic Society.

Eastgate House
Grade II listed house on Eastgate with a handsome 18th century brick façade to an earlier stone house. It was the lifetime home of Raymond Mays CBE http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raymond_Mays founder of ERA and BRM racing cars http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BRM who won the constructors' title in 1962 when Graham Hill http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graham_Hill won the driver's championship.
