Double fired brick

An Inclusion
This brick was made with a scrap of earlier broken brick mixed into the clay. The frost finally revealed the deceit.

The garden wall
A major feature of the Grimsthorpe estate is this Wall, which stretches round the former kitchen garden.
The garden and this wall are not separately listed by Historic England, but they do form part of, and are mentioned in, the grade I listing of the whole park. See: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1000978

Impending failure
