Ferguslie Gardens hill side
At one point there use to be large garden walls encasing flower gardens here in Ferguslie gardens hillside. Further down just beyond the tree line there use to be green houses to replenish the now gone Ferguslie House. Beyond that and in more recent times, there once stood a housing estate and three large 15 storey high rise flats know as Millarston, itself all gone.

John Robertson C.B.E Provost of Paisley Woodside Cemetery
John Robertson C.B.E Provost's stone on the right marks the tight twist in the up road to millionaires' row in Woodside Cemetery. I photographed all of Woodside and mapped Woodside onto Google Maps and in doing so I found out this graveyard has so few names for the many footpaths and off roads it has. One well-known name is Millionaires' Row though it's also known as Boardwalk http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3488511. Plus the path just off Millionaires' Row beside the old gardens of remembrance is known as Coats Walk after the cotton mill family. This footpath marks the start and leads to the back of the crematorium and passes by Fillin's monument, where the half-nude female statue called Weeping Rachel http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3488577 sits upon his monument. So I've taken it upon myself to name this footpath Rachel's Walk. It sounds better than plot 15.

Ferguslie Gardens after the storm "Ferguslie House Gone"
There's a cracking site that shows Paisley from the air http://www.britainfromabove.org.uk/image/spw027028?search=paisley%20cotton%20mills&ref=1 and on the 25th May 1929 it shows Ferguslie House along with other features in the park now gone.
This land use to belong to one of the Coats of Paisley Cotton mills daughters. Who later left this land to the people in her will. This path leads to Millarston and just to the right of this tree stood that very house. Photo http://homepage.ntlworld.com/sealed/mansions/ferguslie.htm
