Beach and Eilean Tr?ighe
The island at the far side of the beach is connected to the mainland by a tombolo, though it is not obvious from this viewpoint. In the background is the Point of Knap on the far shore of Loch Caolisport.

Mosses and Liverworts
Our eyes were caught by the thick covering of moss and liverwort. This side of the mound faces away from the sun, and is further shaded by a clump of trees, which has encouraged the growth of these shade-loving plants.

Mossy Wall
The wall on this side of the road faces away from the sunlight, and is well overgrown with moss. With the eye of imagination, it almost looks like a green lizard crawling down among the stones! The wall on the other side of the road, which is in full sunlight, is bare of moss.
