Thame War Memorial (1), Upper High Street, Thame, Oxon
The memorial was unveiled on the 30th July 1921 by the Rt. Hon. David Lloyd George, M.P., who at that time was Prime Minister. It now commemorates those who died in both World Wars. It consists of a stone wheel cross surmounting an octagonal pedestal. This surmounts a two stepped plinth which stands on a four stepped stone base. There are dedicatory plaques on the pedestal and plinths. It was designed by James T. Robinson and cost £1200. The stone used is Portland. The memorial was cleaned and repaired in 2006.
