This is St Peters Church in the small hamlet of Wilcote. Currently there is work underway to repair the Stonesfield Slate tiled roof. Very small church hardly used.

One of these is The Ridings, the other The Ridings Cottage. I don't know which is which but they are both very attractive.

Road to Wilcote Manor
Going between old gateposts and up an avenue of trees, this looks like the private drive to Wilcote Manor. But it's an ordinary public road serving the hamlet of Wilcote.

Wilcote Manor
Wikipedia says "The Domesday Book of 1086 records that after the Norman conquest of England the manor of Wilcote had become one of the many Oxfordshire estates held by William of Normandy's half-brother Odo, Bishop of Bayeux. After Odo was deposed, Wilcote was granted to Manasser Arsic, Baron of Cogges. The present manor house was built in the late 16th or early 17th century and has some 18th-century alterations and 19th- and 20th-century additions. It is presumed to be on the site of the medieval manor house, which by the 15th century was called Butler's Court." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wilcote
