Ye Olde Leathern Bottel, Lewknor
Lovely old village pub run by Brakspear, now a pub chain, with Brakspear's beers from Witney using the old Henley recipes. Strong local following mixing with a varied clientele popping in off the M40.

Lewknor: Ye Olde Leathern Bottel
This pub, now a Brakspear house, is a Grade II Listed Building, described on the English Heritage website as dating from the 17th century. Older Ordnance Survey maps evidently had no truck with any of this Ye Olde worldy business describing the pub simply as the "Leather Bottle".
