Cowley Road carnival 2010 (5)
The carnival in East Oxford started in 2000 and has been held every year but one since, building up to become a popular annual event. Sponsored by the city council and a variety of local employers and organizations, it is a showcase for multicultural diversity and creativity with the aim of involving and benefiting local community groups, schools and businesses. This year it included a fiesta in the park as well as activities in the street.
