I was very puzzled by these two garages, if that is what they are. The right hand pair of doors will not open, being blocked by the telephone pole.

Alcove in the wall
The Alcove must have been preserved for a reason but the significance as to why I can not tell you. It's just along the road from Bulstake Bridge on the Botley Road.

Joseph Prestwich plaque, Oxford
On the corner of Botley Road and Prestwich Place http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/4212736 which was named
in recognition of the influence of the Professor of Geology Joseph Prestwich
in the improvement of the poor drainage of New Botley in the 1880s.
