Old Milestone by the B4100, Banbury Road, Shotteswell
Carved stone post by the B4100 (was A41), in parish of SHOTTESWELL (STRATFORD ON AVON District), just North of Coronation Lane village turn, by the East side of road. Erected by the Birmingham, Warwick & Warmington turnpike trust in the 19th century. Appears to have been relocated to near Coronation Road/ First Turn junction. Inscription reads:- : LONDON / 73 / BANBURY / 4 / Shottes : : BIRMING / HAM / 35 / WARWICK / 15 / well : Carved benchmark on upper left hand side. Milestone Society National ID: WA_BAWA04.

St Lawrence's spire, Shotteswell
The steep slope of Church Lane leads from outside the village hall towards St Lawrence's church, parts of which date from the 13th century. The buildings in view are all of the local ironstone. The road sign on the left warns of frogs or toads!
