Shops on Broad Street, Banbury
Above the centre of the row of shops is a clock with the legend 'Est'd 1866' Image Interestingly, the 1885 map shows no buildings on this side of the street, although they are present on the 1900 map. So the date of 'Establishment' was not the date of the building. An online article of the Banbury Historical Society https://www.banburyhistoricalsociety.org/uploads/pdf/17/17-02.pdf mentions that the Banbury Industrial Co-operative Society was registered in 1866, so was this the original Co-Op store before the 1907 building further along the road Image?

The former Marlborough Arms, Broad Street, Banbury
The inn sign was still present so I assumed the pub was still in business, but according to whatbpub.com, "This pub is permanently closed. Conversion to flats began in 2017". That explains the multiple meter cabinets along the wall.
