Brewery Tap (1), 40-42 Ock Street, Abingdon, Oxon
The old Morlands Brewery used to be nearby and this was their local pub or "brewery tap". The brewery was taken over by Greene King of Bury St. Edmunds in 2000 and following their usual practice they closed the brewery in Abingdon and transferred production of Morland's beers to Bury St. Edmunds. Along with the brewery, Greene King acquired the Morland pub estate but the Brewery Tap seems to be independent of them. The building is Grade II listed and the core of it is believed to date from the 18th century or earlier. Image Image Image
