The gardens of St Catherine's College, Oxford
St Catherine's College opened on its present site in 1962. It was designed by the Danish architect Arne Jacobsen and included not just the buildings, but even the cutlery, furniture, and lampshades. It is one of the very few 20th Century Grade I listed buildings in Oxford.

The Master's House, St Catherine's College
The first master of the college was the eminent historian Alan Bullock who held the post from 1962 until 1981. For part of that time he was also vice-chancellor of the university. The current master is Professor Kersti Börjars, a distinguished linguistics scholar.
