Wantage Tramway Head Office
Mill Street, Wantage, erected 1904. There was a covered passenger platform to the rear.
The tramway carried passengers from 1875 to 1925 between the town and Wantage Road station on the Didcot-Swindon GWR main line

The Wantage Tramway Company Ltd
The Wantage Tramway Company was a two-mile tramway that carried passengers and freight between the Oxfordshire town of Wantage and Wantage Road Station on the Great Western Main Line. The brickwork is on the former head office of the company.

Plaque on the former Wantage Tramway building
The Wantage Tramway http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wantage_Tramway ran from Mill Street in Wantage to the Wantage Road railway station in Grove, two miles away. This commemorative plaque is on the side of the former company offices.
