Gasworks Bridge - brickwork detail
Gasworks Bridge was built by the Oxford & District Gas Company in 1886 to bring coal by train from the Great Western Railway's main line to the St Ebbe's gasworks. The works closed in 1960 and for some years the bridge was used for a private road. Today it carries a pedestrian and cycle path and this brick structure at the north end provides access via steps or a ramp.
