King George V postbox in Old Didcot
On a house wall on the north side of Manor Road, Didcot. The letters GR date the box to the reign of King George V (May 1910-January 1936.) In December 2014, a Royal Mail notice on the box shows that the last daily collection time from here is as early as 7am on Saturdays, 9am Mondays-Fridays, when a later collection (4pm or later) is made from the postbox at nearby Hayden Road. The latest collection in the area is at 6pm, at Didcot Sorting Office.
