Cholsey primary school
Cholsey primary school; quite proud to admit I went here for a while. The classrooms were in the wings with the large high windows. The section in between them was an entrance from the playground that extended to within 4 feet from the road, that was separated by an iron fence. After break the headmaster would line us all up in our classes and we would march single file into class. The road on the left is the entrance to Marymead. This was another part of the playground and you can still see the entrance to the cloakroom where the porch is. Image

The Headmasters house
The headmaster of Cholsey Primary school used to live here. Many of the people of my age remember him with fondness. Marymead is behind it built in some of its garden as is the entrance road.

School in the snow
The old school in Church Road Cholsey, 50 years ago you would have seen children playing in the snow now they keep them at home as the schools close due to authorities worrying about being sued if the kids fall and hurt themselves. What is the country coming to? The school is now a community centre.

School Meadows
The old school meadows where children from the old school (now an old people's home and community centre) used to play and have sports day (what happened to them). The line of soil you see near the camera is where the ditch used to run and also a hawthorn hedge.
