Big House behind the Esso Garage
What must have once been an impressive residence on the edge of town is currently hidden from general view behind a service station, to the right of this picture.
What was probably the garden is now a small business estate with the old house, also in commercial use these days, looking a bit out of place in the middle of it all.

St Nicholas Road, Wallingford
The dead palm tree on the left is a sad reminder of last winter when temperatures went below -15 degrees some nights. Similar trees in the town centre were finished off by that as well.

This is the old Boys' Grammar School. I used to go to some good dances there when I was a teenager. It shut many years ago and is now housing.
