Roman Road
The street that is what it says on the label. This short row of houses in Berinsfield faces onto the course of the Roman road between Dorchester and Alcester (Bicester). Not one of the best preserved Roman routes, the alignment survives in short stretches of track and footpath, notably at the back of Cowley motor works. It then heads straight over Otmoor, which must have been a bit boggy for the poor old legions unless things were drier in those days.

Long Acre House
A bit of a cheat really, calling this one Long Acre House. It's obviously yet another shot of the water tower which is by far the most dominant landmark in Berinsfield. But never mind. Long Acre House it is, where, according to the sign, Peter Durham purveys the world's finest produce.
