Bend back towards Warborough
The first of two sharp bends that lead into Warborough Village. The road is called New Road and was probably built to skirt the houses built nearby and replace the narrow road further along.

Plough on the cairn
Bit of a story behind this. It was a gift given by the winning team in a ploughing match and originally it was bigger and in bronze. Some nice person decided it to steal it, so the cairn was empty for years until they had another ploughing competition round here. The same winners replaced it with the one you see.

Extension under way at #2 Henley Road
Closer inspection abandoned when faced by dog, but there was an Ordnance Survey cut mark benchmark http://www.bench-marks.org.uk/bm33375 where the extension wall abuts the near corner of the original house

World Ploughing Championships memorial
The phrase Pax Arva Colat meaning "Let Peace Cultivate the Fields" is the motto of the World Ploughing Organization. It adorns the base of this cairn set up to commemorate the World Championships which were held here during October 1958.
