Chadderton Mill
I'm stood on a fence to look over a taller fence. Good result though. I'm on the edge of the site of Mona Mill, now a housing estate (aaagh!). Chadderton Mill was designed by P S Stott for the Chadderton Mill Co and built in 1885 (name and date on top end of engine house). In 1915 there were 102,456 spindles turned by a 1100 hp Hick, Hargreaves engine. This is one of the few mills to retain a lodge but it is lost in foreground clutter.

Robinson Street seems to be the car park for the station. Hartford Mill chimney is beyond the station standing alone since the mill is demolished.
